Golf Community Patio Project

The owners of this property built their home in a gated golf community nearly three decades ago, but they had never utilized the backyard landscape other than the upper deck area. A walkout basement patio door beneath the deck entered into a small paver patio that was dark, damp and very uninviting. Not only did they need more outdoor living space, but they also wanted to create a multi-functional area to accommodate their expanding family and provide a place for their grandchildren to enjoy. 

We started by stripping the deck, keeping only the existing framing and posts, and replacing it all with zero-maintenance decking and railing. Next, a large paver patio was designed to extend beyond the covered upper deck out into an area with a fire pit, water feature and bistro lighting. The client requested we install the dry deck ceiling under the deck, along with Phantom screens, to create a bug-free, dry-covered living area. Planting beds, a small kitchen garden and flower boxes with irrigation were the finishing touches to turn this space into a homeowner’s retreat. Request a quote today.
